Sodium Hypophosphite Price : 2.20 USD ($)/Kilograms Minimum Order Quantity : 100 Ingredients : Sodium Hypophosphite Product Type : Inorganic Phosphorus Compounds Appearance : White Crystal Usage : 1. Industrial Field: â Antiscaling and anticorrosion: Sodium hypophosphite can be used to prevent pipeline scaling, especially in hot water pipelines and oil field scale inhibition applications. â¡ Dispersed surface treatment: In the production of concrete admixture polycarboxylic acid, sodium hypophosphite serves as a dispersant, helping to form a stable system, and can serve as a catalyst or stabilizer for chemical reactions. ⢠Electroless plating reducing agent: In the electroless plating process, sodium hypophosphite serves as a metallizing agent on the metal surface, which can improve the corrosion resistance, wear resistance, uniformity and tightness of the coating. ⣠Surface metallization: It can metallize the surface of nonmetallic materials such as plastics, ceramics, glass, and quartz. 2. Food Field: Sodium hypophosphite is a food additive that can be used as an antioxidant, leavening agent, emulsifier, etc., and is widely used in food processing. For example, it can be used to make cakes, biscuits, bread and other pastry foods, making them softer in taste; at the same time, it can also be used to produce meat products, dairy products, etc., where it can play the roles of stabilizing emulsification and extending the shelf life. 3. Pharmaceutical Field: Sodium hypophosphite has an acidbase neutralizing effect and can neutralize excess acidic substances in the body, thereby maintaining a normal acidbase balance. Therefore, in the medical field, sodium hypophosphite can be used to relieve diseases such as hyperacidemia. In addition, sodium hypophosphite can also be used as a controlled release agent or buffer for drugs, and is used to prepare commonly used drugs, such as heparin, insulin, etc. 4. Daily Chemical Field: Sodium hypophosphite is also used in the manufacture of daily chemicals such as toothpaste and lotion, and has the functions of teeth whitening and oral cleaning. 5. Textile Finishing: In textile finishing, sodium hypophosphite can be used as antioxidant, antidiscoloration agent, dispersant, etc. 6. Scientific Research Application: Sodium hypophosphite is an important raw material for the preparation of other compounds, such as calcium phosphate, carboxymethyl cellulose, etc. In addition, sodium hypophosphite can also be used to prepare metallic sodium, etc. 7. Other Applications: Sodium hypophosphite can also be used to prepare building materials, fertilizers, etc. Among building materials, sodium hypophosphite can increase the corrosion resistance of concrete and improve its wear resistance; and among chemical fertilizers, sodium hypophosphite is one of the important raw materials for phosphoruscontaining fertilizers. EINECS No : 2316699 Application : food CAS No : 7681530 Physical Form : Powder Grade : Industrial Grade Storage : Room Temperature HS Code : 2835100000 Poisonous : NO Solubility : Easily soluble in hot ethanol and glycerin, soluble in water, insoluble in ether Shape : Irregular Melting Point : 100â Taste : Salty Shelf Life : 24 Months Smell : Other Purity : Not less than 100.3% Properties : Physical properties: Colourless monoclinic crystal, pearlescent crystal or white crystal powder, odourless, salty taste, relative molecular mass is 105.99, relative density is 1.388, melting point is 26.5°C. Chemical properties: A strong reducing agent that can reduce salts of gold, silver, mercury, nickel, chromium, cobalt, etc. to their metallic state. Under normal pressure, heating and evaporating sodium hypophosphite solution will explode, so evaporation should be carried out under reduced pressure. Stability: It is relatively stable when stored in a dry state. When heated above 200°C, it quickly decomposes into Na4P2O7 and NaPO3, and releases selfigniting and toxic phosphine (PH3) gas; it will explode when exposed to strong heat, and will explode when mixed with potassium chlorate or other oxidants.
